The plastic melt index tester is an instrument used to characterize the flow properties of thermoplastic polymers in a viscous flow state. It measures the melt mass flow rate (MFR) and melt volume flow rate (MVR) of thermoplastic resins. This instrument is suitable for testing engineering plastics with higher melting temperatures, such as polycarbonate (PC), nylon (PA), fluoroplastics, and polysulfone, as well as plastics with lower melting temperatures, such as polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), polyformaldehyde resin (POM), and ABS resin.
